Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) is awarding 30 scholarships for meritorious Iranian students interested in pursuing higher studies in India under its prestigious General Cultural Scholarship Scheme (GCSS) for the academic year 2012-13.

2.     The Scholarship covers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Doctoral (Ph.D) and Post-doctoral studies in arts, social sciences, management and technical fields except Medicine and related fields.

3.     Requirements:

i.      The applicants should have proficiency in English language to successfully     pursue his/her studies in India.  To determine the proficiency of the   candidate in the English language the Embassy would conduct a language         test under intimation to the candidates.  Only the applications of those         candidates who qualify in the exam would be considered for the scholarship. 
(Note: Passing the language test alone doesn’t guarantee the award of scholarship).

ii.     Applicants must submit six copies of duly filled in application form with necessary supporting documents (copies of passport, national identity card, certified English translation of mark sheets, degree certificates etc) and relevant documents to support their proficiency in English language, if any.  The applications complete in all respects should reach the embassy on or before 08 February 2012.
