Republic Day of India celebrated in Tehran
The 61st anniversary of the Republic Day of India was celebrated at the Embassy of India in Tehran on 26th January, 2011 morning. Ambassador H.E. Shri. Sanjay Singh hoisted the national tricolour and read out the message of the President of India on the occasion.
The ceremony was attended by more than three hundred people including the Embassy Staff, members of Indian community and Indian expatriates in Iran, teachers and students of the Kendriya Vidyalaya, Tehran, Indian students in Qom and friends of India and Iran.
The students of the Kendriya Vidyalaya, Tehran performed patriotic songs on the occasion. On the evening of 26January, 2011 Ambassador hosted a reception for the Diplomatic core in Iran and the Iranian guests to mark the occasion.
